My Title "Continued"

If you look at my first post "My Title" you will see some information about me and my blog.
Over time most of that has changed.
For example, my title isn't Shoot Draw Laugh anymore it's Forever Pies, but my favorite sport still is basketball and I still like to draw.
Plus, I don't want to be a comedian either I want to be a naturalist and that's why I changed the name, Because I couldn't think of a short word that describes nature well.
Then the last thing that has changed is that i'm 10 now, not 9.

Home School This Year

Home School in this house has gone through quite a change.
My mom used to plan everything we would do.
This year to get ready we would each (my brother sister and I) have two meetings.
For the first meeting my mom would take one of us out somewhere and she would ask what we wanted to learn about.
A few of the things I wanted to learn about were drawing, nature, acting, and the saxophone.
For the second meeting we talked about what I could do to learn about those things.
Then we would each plan our week (in our cool new planners), like decide what things from the second meeting we wanted to do in our week and what days we wanted to do them.
We started school about a week ago and I already love it, you should seriously try it some time if you don't already.

Mohonk

This Mother's Day weekend was a lot of fun.
We went to Mohonk Mountain House with some family.
It's like a ginormous hotel in the mountains of New Paltz, New York.
The Best part was that we went on "Spring Nature Weekend".
Which is a Weekend (obviously) with a bunch of Programs about
birds and nature. There was a Nature Jeopardy. My cousin and
I entered, we won the first round but lost the second so we got
into the semi-finals. We got a CD as a prize for entering though.
We also went fishing I caught a Rock Bass, my Uncle caught a
Pickerel and a Sun Fish, and my brother caught a Yellow Perch.
The food was good they had buffets full of good stuff like bagels
and cereal for breakfast and Hot dogs and burgers for lunch and dinner
There are rock scrambles too. They are basically paths through mountains
of boulders and rocks. Sometimes you have to go on you stomach or
walk through a crevice about 2 feet wide.
Mohonk is a fun place.

Another New "Baby" Gecko

This my new Gecko.

For now his name is G.J. (Gec Junior) or Jeejay, which ever one. Gec died by the way that's main reason I'm calling him G.J. Kos is a girl and gets along with G.J. so-so. One of the first times I fed them together G.J. saw a meal worm and ate it, Kos, who had also saw it bit G.J. and Kos bit back so I put my hand between them and G.J. bit my hand then backed away. It was O.K. because geckos don't have teeth ,they have gizzards but still bad.
G.J. is a very cute and cool gecko.

New Geckos

I Got Geckos!!!!!!
Their 'temporary' names are Gec and Kos because I need to find out if they are a boy or girl. Their tank has a little cave and 2 rocks leaning against the cave, I think I'll take out the bigger rock and lean the small one on the cave and get a plant to put in. But you have to chose carefully because some plants are poisonous to geckos. Some people think a gecko sounds like an easy pet maybe they are but you have to feed them crickets or meal worms, change their water and spray their tank once-twice a day I think easy means something different to some people. That's all you have to do consistently as far as I know. You also need a special calcium sand so they can eat it if they want to. A very important thing is a heat lamp because geckos are reptiles and reptiles are cold blooded so you need a heat lamp and a possibly a heat pad. Never get a heating rock because they kill the geckos by frying them.
You can also take them out but they are very fragile especially their legs and feet. But they're really fun so have fun but be careful.
Plus they shed about once a month if their young, and they crazy part is that they eat their skin so predators don't find it and know that their are geckos around (even in a tank.)
You gotta get a gecko.
